We have over 320 employees with a wealth of managerial and operational knowledge and experience in the industry.
We have a proven reputation for the high quality of our works and delivery of projects on time and we are focused on providing value for money through competitive pricing.
Our standard delivery model is to engage the services of our in-house specialist resources for project management, health, safety and environmental management, design, engineering, civil operations, cable laying and jointing/connection services to provide innovative, workable and sustainable solutions and practices in challenging environments and minimising disruption by working closely with our clients and all stakeholders.
We have invested heavily in the latest technology, which has empowered a mobile workforce and improved communications resulting in efficiencies all around.
In recent years, we have been awarded numerous high profile contracts to install EHV/HV energy networks in the North West of England associated with the major investment and development of the region, including Media City in Salford and the Airport City in Manchester. We have also secured a fixed term framework agreement to provide a comprehensive service to the North West’s electricity distribution network operator, Electricity North West Limited (ENWL)
We are proud of our continuing involvement as a key contractor working with Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) to expand the Metrolink tram network and improve transport throughout the region, which is integral to the Government’s plans for Manchester and the proposed Northern Powerhouse.
- Between 2008 and 2014, we diverted and relocated all the EHV/HV/LV and service electricity cables, substations and associated equipment necessary for the construction of new branch lines to Ashton-under-Lyne, Rochdale, Oldham, East Didsbury and Manchester Airport. These works, which included major installations of 132kV circuits to reinforce the electricity network, presented many challenges and obstacles, including crossing over major highways and junctions, and crossing under motorways and rivers, all of which were undertaken successfully, ahead of schedule and within critical outage periods
- Since 2013 we have been diverting/relocating all the EHV/HV/LV and service electricity cables, substations and associated equipment together with installing innovative multi-utility ductings in the ground and providing global traffic management (for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic) necessary for the construction of the Second City Crossing (2CC) line through the City Centre of Manchester. These works have presented many specific and unique challenges and obstacles which necessitated close co-operation with the client and all key stakeholders (TfGM, MPT, MCC, all the utility companies, highways and streetworks inspectors, Environment Agency, heritage and archaeological personnel, owners and occupiers of commercial, retail and residential premises and others) in the City Centre, all resulting in the works being undertaken successfully, ahead of schedule and keeping disruption in the City Centre to a minimum.
